Media ceramic, life sized.
This piece was made from the same clay, the kidney was the one shown earlier being wood fired and the hand was kiln fired unglazed. This work was inspired by my experience donating a kidney to my classmate and friend. I wanted to show the beauty of such a gift, that good things can come from hard times, that we can give a new lease of life. Counting down and our opening is in four and a half hours. I have almost all my jobs done and the second shift of butterflies have moved in.
